ZANG! Our July event is our one-year anniversary! Many thanks to all who’ve helped make the Build Guild what it is: an excuse to drink AND be web-geeks at the same time. Angelo and I couldn’t have done it without you and your alcoholic tendencies.
ZING! We are excited to announce that a second Build Guild has been birthed in Albany, NY. Do yourself a New York favor and check out the Albany Build Guild information, schedule, etc.
Our next event is being sponsored by:
Paul Kelley – “Paul is to website design what Siegfried is to white tigers.”
Leanne and Art Lawry will be providing delicious sweetie-treats that will go straight to your hips or gut in the most pleasurable way!
Created by two Salem web geeks, Marc Amos & Angelo Simeoni, the Build Guild is a monthly event (Occurs the 2nd Tuesday of every month) where folks in the web industry—designers, coders, project managers, hobbyists, etc.—can get together to talk web, debate industry topics, share ideas, make professional connections, land gigs, and discuss the real reasons why mustaches need to make a comeback. All are welcome to attend, but please do RSVP so we can keep an eye out for you.
Be sure to follow Build Guild on twitter, check out the Build Guild Flickr group, sign up for the Build Guild LinkedIn group, and join the Build Guild Facebook group.
The next Build Guild will begin at 6:30 P.M. on July 14th, 2009 at the Murphy’s (the old Spirits). When you arrive, go to the second floor and be sure your mustache looks its finest.
If you plan on coming, make it known via upcoming.yahoo.com (a free account is required). This allows us to know how many people to expect since some locations enforce a maximum drunken attendance. Here are some driving directions, or if you are taking the commuter rail, peep this:
A vast assortment of t-shirts, sweatshirts, and accessories for ladies, gents, and everybody in between. Looking for hemp gear? It’s there. Bamboo gear? It’s there. Gear that will make you smell pretty? It’s there. Check out the goods »
Any and all proceeds earned from sales will be used for future Build Guild events.
